The word "yoga" is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj', meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke, and Yoga to Help Heal will do just that: bringing loved ones together online through yoga.
Yoga improves flexibility, balance, and range of motion, increases strength and vitality, and enhances circulatory and digestive function. Yet yoga offers more than physical benefits, including a greater sense of well-being and a calmer mind, which helps you listen to your body and heal.
Yoga to Help Heal was launched in the wake of 9/11 and relaunched during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today's program aims to bring joy and connection while helping people improve their physical health and well-being.
